The people we help do not know in advance when the diagnosis arrives, or the letter from the collector. Regular giving is what lets us pick up the phone the day they do.
Why give to Life Without Debt? Life Without Debt Ltd is a proposed Australian public benevolent institution. On registration our services are free at the point of use for people living with terminal, life-limiting, chronic or serious illness — and their immediate families and primary carers — as defined in constitution clause 4(a). Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status: pending. All giving pages will display the DGR endorsement once granted. Financials, board composition, and complaints handling are published at

Why monthly matters
One-off donations are welcome and needed. But casework — negotiating with creditors, obtaining and reviewing statements, drafting hardship applications, following through until a debt is resolved — takes weeks or months per beneficiary. Regular giving turns your kindness into continuity of service: staff we can pay, casework hours we can commit to, promises to beneficiaries we can keep.
What your monthly gift does
- $10 / month · covers the direct costs of running one intake conversation.
- $25 / month · funds around three hours of casework in a typical month — one full negotiation cycle with a creditor.
- $50 / month · sustains casework for a single beneficiary through a straightforward matter (typical duration 4-8 weeks).
- $100 / month · enables a complex matter (multiple debts, capacity concerns, family disputes, judgment debts) to be worked to completion.
Cost figures above are working-model assumptions for HA1 draft only. Final unit-cost data will be published in our first Annual Impact Report and re-set for each following year. See impact reporting methodology.
